Preity Zinta

Biography: Preity Zinta, is a successful bollywood actress, who is known for her attractive dimples. She has worked in a number of films including those in English and Punjabi. She made her debut in Mani Ratnam’s film Dil Se.

Preity is an Aquarian, born on 31st Jan and hails from a Rajput family from Shimla. Little Preity was good in studies, and had special interest in English literature. She completed her post graduation in Criminal Psychology. In 1997, she accompanied a friend for a film audition where she met film director Shekhar Kapoor. The director asked her to give an audition. He insisted that she become an actress & recommended her for Dil Se.

In the same year she did another film called Soldier and Preity’s acting career took off smoothly. Her work in Kya Kehna, where she plays an unmarried single mother won her many accolades. Her work in the fiction film Koi Mil Gaya was a huge success. Preity carved her mark in the Indian film industry by playing lead roles in a number of successful films such as Dil Chahta Hai, Mission Kashmir, Veer Zara, Lakshya, KANK et al. She has been widely appreciated and has worked in varied roles ranging from chirpy ones, to serious and matured ones.

Preity has also worked in TV commercials & has also done stage performances. In 2008, she acquired IPL League Kinks XI Punjab. She has been actively involved in a range of social & humanitarian works. Of late she has been associated with the NDTV Greenathon Campaign.

Today she has come a long way in her career and shares the stage alongside actors such as SRK, Aamir, Hrithik, Priyanka Chopra, Rani Mukherjee and the likes. Her fans love her and overtime she has come to be admired as a talented and versatile actress.
