Neha Dhupia

Born: 27 August, 1980 in Vizag, AP, India

Biography: Neha Dhupia was born in Vizag, in a Sikh family to Commander Pradip Dhupia and mother Manpinder. She studied at Naval Public School, Cochin and Army Public School, New Delhi and completed her graduation in History (Hons) from Delhi University. Her brother Hardeep is a pilot with Jet Airways.

Neha started her career with the TV serial Rajdhani produced by Bobby Bedi. She has also worked in other serials, music videos and ad campaigns such as Reebok, Pepsi, LG, Maruti and Mitsubishi Lancer. She was crowned the Miss India Universe in 2002 and was one of the top ten contestants for Miss Universe Contest in the same year.

Neha’s cinematic career started with Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya in 1997. She tasted success with her role in Qayamat- City Under Threat in 2003 which did very well at the box office. She has worked in several other films like Sheesha in 2005, Chup Chup Ke in 2006, Mithya in 2008. But it was her role in the film Julie in 2004 where she plays a simple girl from Goa who gets trapped into flesh trade and eventually becomes a prostitute, which brought her to limelight. She has continued to give successful performances in films like Kya Kool Hai Hum, Shootout at Lokhandwala and Dus Kahaaniyan. Neha has also made special appearances in films such as Garam Masala and Heyy Babyy. Her upcoming film in 2009 is Kuch Love Kuch Drama.

Neha Dhupia wants to do a variety of roles and experiment with her looks in each movie. She is very close to her family and friends and gives them a lot of importance. She is also passionate about fitness, music and books
