Biography:
Govinda ( born Govind Arun Ahuja) is a popular Bollywood actor, comedian and politician currently serving as the Member of Parliament for the Mumbai North Constituency of Maharashtra, India. He lived a sizeable part of his life in modest chawls of Mumbai before getting a break in the Hindi film industry. Govinda is known his exceptional dancing skills.
His earlier movies were a mix of drama and action movies including successes like Dariya Dil(1988),Swarg(1990)and Hum(1991). Later, he became extremely popular for his comedy movies, most of which he did with director David Dhawan. Of his many successful comedies, some popular ones are Bade Miyan Chote Miyan(1998), Haseena Maan Jaayegi(1999), Jodi No. 1(2001) and Partner(2007).
