Big B to host next season of Bigg Boss!

The actual ‘Bigg Boss’ of Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan is all set to make his television comeback as the host of the much-hyped reality show on Colors, Bigg Boss-3 after a four-year hiatus since Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) Dwitiya in 2005. With a host of his stature, the organizers are expecting to take the show to astronomical heights in terms of TRP and hoping to catapult Colors as the No.1 GEC (General Entertainment Channel) in India.

Bachchan Senior will take over the mantle from last season’s celebrity host Shilpa Shetty fresh from her highly publicized win of the UK’s Big Brother show and the huge controversy that was created due to the racial slur by fellow inmate, late Jade Goody.

Whereas Shilpa had ‘been there and done that’ and could actually relate to the plight of the celebrity inmates locked in the house under 24x7 vigil of multiple cameras. It would be a completely new experience for Amitabh Bachchan who will essay the role of a 'Pop Philosopher' trying to analyze the psychology of the inmates and their behavioural patterns during their stay at the Bigg Boss house.

The stakes will be high with the celebrities locking horns over the huge prize money and the tense situation created by the periodic elimination based on audience as well as the inmates’ votes. Big Boss is known for bringing together a motley group of celebrities from different walks of life viz. politics, showbiz et al under one roof. Rahul Mahajan, Raja Chaudhary, Sambhavna Seth, Monica Bedi, Payal Rohatgi were some of the celebrities who made headlines last season with their antics.

Audiences have already started speculating about this season’s participants and Colors, in order to maximize audience involvement has invited suggestions from viewers about their celebrity choice. Bigg Boss Season 3 is expected to go on air this December.
