Cold war between the father-sun duo

There seems to be trouble brewing in the paradise. The paradise in question here is the Roshan household. There have been rumors of rift between the phenomenally successful director-actor Jodi. The differences have really come to the fore in the recently concluded IIFA awards in MACAU. Incidentally, both the son and the father won awards at the event, while the father won a trophy for the best director of the decade award (presented to him by his son Hrithik), the son bagged the best actor award for his film Jodhaa Akbar.

But all the silverware bagged by them couldn’t hide the obvious. There seemed to be real friction between the two. On the red carpet, Hrithik left his father alone to face the journalists while he was seen chatting up someone with his wife beside him. Even Rakesh was evasive when asked about his feelings on receiving the award from his son. Although he managed to answer the question diplomatically, his discomfort was all too apparent
.
All the trouble started during the filming of the movie Kites which stars the Mexican beauty Barbara Mori along with Hrithik Roshan in lead roles and is being directed by Rakesh Roshan. Apparently Hrithik got smitten by Mori’s beauty and had started getting close to her. Father, however, didn’t seem to like this and it resulted in a strained relationship between the too. The rumors about Hrithik and Barbara had a snow balling effect as it led to rumors of Hrithik’s marriage being on rocks. Rakesh wanted to rein in his son and avoid a potentially ugly situation.

Here is hoping that both of them work out their problems soon. The industry would also be hoping for the same as whenever the two have come together they have managed to set the Box Office register ringing with super hits like Koi Mil Gaya and Krrish.
