Synopsis:
25-year-old Wesley Gibbon (James McAvoy) is a slacker who hates his life--with good reason, because it sucks. At work, his boss torments him in front of his colleagues. Back home, his girlfriend is a magnet for everyone except him, including his supposed best friend. But when his father is killed, a mysterious associate named Sloan (Morgan Freeman) arrives, offering Wes the chance to fill his father's shoes working for the Fraternity--a centuries-old league of supersensory trained assassins. Their motto is: Kill one, save a thousand. Killing is in Wes' blood, and he trains under Fox (Angelina Jolie) and a lethal crew. The former slacker is reborn as the golden boy of the Fraternity and Wes starts to relish his new life, even exacting some best-served-cold revenge on his past tormentors. But soon, the sweet taste of power sours when he realizes that the intentions of his deadly associates aren't as noble as first presented. As he wavers between newfound heroism and soul-killing vengeance, Wes will come to learn what no one--neither cold-blooded father nor steaming-hot assassin--could ever teach him: He alone controls his destiny.

Verdict: Wannabe
'I am a frustrated fool.......but I wannabe coool' is what Wesley Gibson is saying and trying to achieve. 'I am already coool' is what Fox's saying.......and 'You are all fools' is what Sloan is saying ...........And I am saying - I have summed up the movie. Yes, you got it - there's not much substance in the movie where the story or screenplay is concerned. However, what you can watch the movie for is a bit of gore and some cool action sequences. But the performances and acting are lack luster - by the end of it all you are wishing for is ...."if only they had chosen a better actor for the lead role than a wannabe yuppie"!
