Verdict: An Attempt at Dil Chahta Hai 2 - Miserably Failed!
Incoherent, inconsistent story, poorly replicated Dil Chahta Hai formula - and yes Rock On doesnt make it. It starts with a promise, but never delivers it. And add to it some terrible cliches (oh my god brain tumour) and your brain and humour both goes for a toss! Imagine the best actors in the movie are not the lead protagonist but a joker VJ. Farhan should stick to direction, acting his not his cup of tea - it really spoils the movie goer's feast. Only day savior is the music, which is reasonably peppy and enthralls the otherwise confused audience - but mind you I wont say its great!

...Rock On is a film that not only breaks new ground in terms of subject matter.......it creates a whole new EQ for mainstream cinema....
Nikhat Kazmi, The Times of India....If you don't mind a simplistic script, incredible tragedy and thousands of resemblances to Dil Chahta Hai, then you'll be fine.....
