Synopsis:
Two straight men, Sameer, a male nurse and Kunal, a photographer looking for an apartment incidentally lands up in a situation where they have to pose gay to rent an apartment as the owner does not want single men to share the place with her niece who also stays there. And ironically, both fall in the love with the niece, Neha, a fashion Journo, who thinks them as a gay couple.

Verdict: For a few laughs in the first half
Pink's the color of the movie and you'll see it everywhere. The comedy is not a take on gay rights, issues, reality or anything similar...it simply creates funny situations in a non-judgmental way and does evoke a few laughs, esp in the first half. The movie is more or less a package of funny situations which do not connect very well in terms of storyline but do ensure a few laughs here and there - and if thats what you desire from 2.5 hrs of movie watching, you should be ok. Neither the performances nor direction is top notch - but Abhishek does reasonably well to pull off the comic avtaar.

....Mansukhani....builds up the tempo nicely with adequate frolic in the first half.....but Dostana becomes cliched after a point, despite the funny gags....
Vinayak Chakravorty, Mail Today....why and how does Dostana work? Simply because it introduces the most outrageous scenes in popular Hindi cinema and manages to get away with it because it's all done with an infectious zest and effervescence that keeps the ribs tickling....
