Synopsis: After their mother’s demise and father’s imprisonment, toddlers Belu and Bhola live with their aunt, Kamla who moonlights as a prostitute. She physically abuses them and forces them to beg on the busy streets of Bombay. They then befriend a shoe-polisher, John and take up this profession. But when Kamla learns of their new-found profession, she evicts them. Hence, they move in with John. But the siblings later get separated. Will fate re-unite them?
