Synopsis: Based in Simla, the McNallys are an Anglo-Indian family have a daughter who can neither see nor hear. Bringing up Michelle in a protective world makes her grow increasingly violent and volatile. Things get worse when McNallys have another daughter Sara, and they consider admitting Michelle in an asylum. This is when Debraj Sahai, an eccentric teacher takes charge of teaching Michelle. The story evolves through Michelle’s struggles, failures and successes in finding a footing in the normal world.
